I. Overview

Founded in June 2015, the Entrepreneurship Education School of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics is responsible for the innovation and entrepreneurship education. The school has a faculty pool of 15 and consists of five offices and one center, including General Administration Office, Platform Construction Office, Examination and Evaluation Supervision Office, Teaching and Research Office, Competition Service Office and Entrepreneurship and Skills Training Center.

The school has built a makerspace with an area of more than 5,000 square meters, covering the Student Entrepreneurship Incubation Center in Jiaoqiao Campus and Distinctive Maker Street in Mailu Campus. Additionally, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship One-Stop Service Center, the Start-up Cafe and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop serve as the important platforms for teachers and students to carry out innovation and entrepreneurship education.

It is also a member of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance of Finance and Economics Universities and the National Entrepreneurship Education Alliance.

II. Working Mechanism

Centering on the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents, the school invites various entrepreneurs as main lecturers and guiders to improve students’ professional competence and entrepreneurial ability. Furthermore, it focuses on establishing a new pattern of talent training, covering teaching, practice, research, competition and evaluation.

III. Honors

The school was approved by the Ministry of Education as one of the “First Group of 99 Demonstration Universities for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform” and one of China’s Top 50 Model Universities in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Besides, its makerspace was awarded the second batch of “National-level Makerspace” by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the first batch of National Demonstration Park for College Student Entrepreneurship by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League.
