On the afternoon of January 18th, JUFE, the Chinese Embassy in Austria and VRVis Research Center had an online meeting on cooperation and exchange concerning VR Modern Industrial College. Chaired by JUFE Vice President Li Chungen, the event was attended by JUFE president, Prof. Deng Hui, Counsellor for Science and Technology Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Austria Lei Fengyun, and Dr. Si Liangxin, Director of China Affairs, VRVis Research Center etc.
Counselor Lei Fengyun began his speech with quotations of President Xi Jinping’s letter to the opening ceremony of the first World Conference on VR industry in 2018, which shed light on this online meeting and future cooperation. Lei expressed wishes that JUFE’s cooperation with VRVis in VR industry and technology could sustain Jiangxi to expand its cooperation with Austria and beyond.
Having learned the idea of college management and curriculum construction, and strong VR endowment and VR products development at JUFE, Director Si Liangxin believed that the potential cooperation in talent training, scientific research, industrial application was poised to embrace bright prospect ahead.
On behalf of the university, President Deng Hui expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Counselor Lei for opening up new possibilities for its international cooperation, and wished future cooperation between VRVis and JUFE. He briefed that against the backdrop of industry and education integration, it is imperative for JUFE to embark on a digital course by integrating economic management with digital science. The establishment of the college answered the call of the state and would be conducive to talent training and research team building with regard to VR technology, design, and industry chain management. President Deng hoped that the in-depth cooperation between VRVis and JUFE could facilitate the development of Jiangxi’s VR industry.
The participants reached initial consensuses on training VR talents, building joint programs, applying and transforming scientific and technological achievements, holding international conferences on VR industry with joint efforts, etc.
