Wang Liming stated that we should base the implementation of the Civil Code on Xi Jinping’s law-based governance, build a civil law theoretical system suited to our national conditions, handle the relationship between the civil code and judicial interpretation properly, complete the tail-in work of judicial interpretations related to the Civil Code as soon as possible, and formulate interpretations on the basis of specific cases.

Prof. Deng Hui expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Civil Law Research Association for granting the honor of hosting the first annual meeting to JUFE since the promulgation of the Civil Code. After an introduction to the achievements, realities and plans of JUFE and the School of Law, Deng Hui set forth that the law-based governance put forward by Xi Jinping has opened up new opportunities for legal research and the training of legal talents, and provided guidance for scholars of civil law to implement the civil code.
