JUFE firstly participated in the Higher Education Exhibition between mainland and Macao
From October 19th to 21st, Higher Education Exhibition between Mainland and Macao , which was jointly organized by the Department of College Student Affairs of Ministry of Education and the Tertiary Education Services Office of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government，was held in the auditorium of Macao Kao Yip Middle School. This is the second time for the joint higher education exhibition between Macao and the mainland, with a total number of 100 institutions taking part in: 90 from 20 provinces and 10 from the local. Qinghui Luo, the staff from Recruitment and Employment Office, was invited to attend the meeting On behalf of JUFE.
Zhiwei Wang , Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education, visited JUFE’s booth concerned our students studying in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. During the exhibition, our representatives introduced to Macao students and parents in detail about the school conditions, subjects advantages, training model, cooperation and exchange, employment prospects and the relevant policies about recruiting Macao’s students in 2019. JUFE Students studying in Macao were invited to share their experience and exchange their ideas with the visitors and this favored both students and parents.
Representatives from four universities specialized in Finance and Economics also conducted a seminar about enrolling students of Macao, they are Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. A series of lectures on different subjects were held during the exhibition, like schools’ general information, featured courses, policies for cultivating students, employment prospects and etc, which can refresh visitors’ mind about furthering studies in Mainland and Macao in different dimensions and spheres.
It is reported that colleges and universities in Mainland will recruit 1100 Macao students by recommendation in 2019. It has formed a "Unified Recruitment, Diverse Enrollment" model for Macao high school students to study further in mainland. In 2018 an amount of 1361 Macao high school graduates were admitted to mainland universities, 951 of which were by recommendation, with a growth of nearly 20% over the previous year. The good news is that our school has officially announced to recruit the first five Macao's students by recommendation and the assessment procedure won’t start until January 2019.
