JUFE successfully passed the Quality Accreditation on International Students Education
2018 China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo on Internationalization of Higher Education and Student Mobility were held at China National Convention Center in Beijing on the afternoon of October 18th.The seminar on “quality first: the new journey of studying in China”and the certification ceremony of the third batch of pilot institutes for quality accreditation on international students education were held on the conference.
Xiaoping Wang , Vice President of our university, attended the ceremony on behalf of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and received the certificate of quality accreditation on international students education.
The Way of Quality Accreditation on International Students Education of our University
Since the signing of the certificate agreement on the quality accreditation on international students education in December 2017, our university has formally participated in the third batch of accreditation and set up a leading group on quality accreditation on international students education. We also have passed the "Work Implementation Program of Quality Accreditation on International Students Education of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics " .Our school carried out work mobilization at all levels,and launched comprehensive self-examination, rectification and improvement work according to the certification index system.Subsequently, a self- evaluation of students` studying in China was carried out in a large scale in the school. And a self-assessment report on the quality of education in China was held in April 2018 ，which attracted the heads of 21 departments and colleges and relevant personnel to attend the meeting.
At the beginning of June 2018, a group of experts from colleges and universities, led by Yan Zhou, Deputy Secretary-General of China Education International Exchange Association, and headed by Jianzheng Gu, Dean of the College of International Education,Harbin Institute of Technology, came to our university for on-site inspection. The expert group highly appraised our university's work of studying in China. Meanwhile, some pertinent opinions and suggestions are put forward on further strengthening the top-level design of education in China, further establishing and perfecting the specialty cultivation programme of education in China, and establishing a centralized management organization for related affairs of education in China. Our school will further summarize and condense the work achievements and characteristics, analyze the existing problems and shortcomings, put forward the next step to improve the program and implementation methods, and promote our school to a new level on to studying in China in accordance with the accreditation opinions.
On Quality Accreditation on International Students Education.
In order to strengthen the quality construction of education for studying in China, promote the establishment and improvement of internal management mechanism in relevant colleges and universities, upgrade the working level of studying in China, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of education for studying in China, The China Education Association for International Exchange（CEAIE） started the research and development of quality certification standards and system design for international students education in China in 2014 with the support and guidance of the National Bureau of the Ministry of Education. In March 2015, the work of quality accreditation on international students education was officially launched. In December, the "Quality Certification Index System for Colleges and Universities to Study in China" was promulgated. The system carries out the quality certification of studying in China among the participating colleges and universities from the aspects of guiding ideology, hardware conditions, teaching construction, education management, student activities, quality and influence of running a school, and characteristics of running a school. The whole certification process consists of school self-assessment, expert review, site inspection and so on.It is reported that 93 institutions of higher learning have been certified by the Ministry of Education to study in China, including 27 in the first batch, 35 in the second batch and 31 in the third batch.
